PACKAGING AND DELIVERY INFORMATION

If MO99 COKAMO is not in the shipping address for a Missouri or Kansas library they are not part of the COKAMO delivery route.

1.      Secure materials with vertical and horizontal rubber bands.

LIMIT: 3 regular-sized books per bundle.

2.     You can use a standard courier routing slip or the blank ones included on the COKAMO web page. Add routing slip by folding the slip in half and stapling it across the horizontal rubber band.

3.      Add mailing label (printed from whatever source, OCLC, ILLIAD, etc), which must include the COKAMO address and adhere to the CLiC courier slip. Example of a Missouri/Kansas library address label:

M099 COKAMO

Interlibrary Loan Department

15616 E. 24 Hwy

Independence, MO 64050

4.      Place the prepared ILL request into your regular delivery tote.

5.      Please record the number of items sent via COKAMO. This number needs to be included in your library's courier service agreement form each year.

PROCEDURES TO PRINT LABELS FROM OCLC

For selected batch updates, you can automatically create a .pdf file containing shipping and/or return labels for the requests that you have just updated. Request Manager extracts address information from each request's Ship To: and Return To: fields and automatically formats it to match one of three common label types. Although Request Manager creates the file .pdf file, you must have Adobe Reader installed on your workstation to open the file and print the labels (see: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html ).

The following instructions are courtesy of one of our member libraries.
