Lifelong Education @ Desktop (LE@D)

Lifelong Education @ Desktop (LE@D) at the University of North Texas offers very affordable ($10-$20) online tutorials at www.leadonline.info More than 20,000 library staff members from every state and several countries have taken LE@D’s high-quality courses since they were begun with an IMLS grant in 2003. Registration is online with a credit card. Participants are put into a course for a month and can go in and out of the course as often as convenient, even though each course can be completed in 1.5 to 3 hours. A certificate is printed at the end. LE@D courses have been approved for Western Council of State Libraries Library Practitioner certification.
