Keynote: Using the Power of Storytelling for Your Library With Wendy Norris and Jordan Wirfs-Brock
“If history were taught in the form of stories, it would never be forgotten.” -Rudyard Kipling
We’re all drowning in information, so how does YOUR library cut through the noise to make its presence in the community memorable? During this highly-interactive keynote session, our speakers will challenge you to consider the “power of a story” to engage patrons and non-library users, grant funders, board members, city officials, and other library staff. Stories engage people on an emotional level, creating a deeper bond. People forget facts but remember stories… No matter how you connect with your audience -- from bulletin boards to Instagram and everything in between -- this session will provide you with useful, easy strategies for telling YOUR library stories in all kinds of ways!
