Growing Library Staff

Spring Workshops in Grand Junction, Ft. Morgan and Pueblo are the must-attend event each spring. Rich content delivered by experts inspires attendees to be creative and innovative in their libraries. Staffers return from workshops invigorated and eager to improve the library experience in their communities.

With its ear to the ground CLiC also develops custom content to meet the special needs of library staff. From leadership topics to emerging tech, CLiC is responsive to the learning needs of the library community.

Powering Small Libraries

Joining the AspenCat union catalog transforms a library’s collection. Equivalent to the second largest public library in Colorado with more than 1.4 million items, AspenCat demonstrates that small libraries together form a “big gorilla.” Unified, small libraries can exponentially increase access to material for their patrons, literally exploding the size of their collections.

Growing a new web site

Our old web site. It served us well.

We’ve been hard at work for many months, establishing CLiC’s new web site!

The #1 goal: make it easier for YOU to reach us. As easy as picking up the phone. As easy as hollerin’ out your back door, across the alley, “Can I borrow a cup of sugar?”

“Whatcha baking?” we ask, because we love cookies and cakes and pies, too.

So contact us! We’re ready with our mixing bowls.

About Our NEW Web Site

In a phrase: “They’re our kind of people.” By that, we mean the folks at Ramblin Jackson, the Boulder-based digital market + video production agency that took seriously our crazy ideas for this web site and actually brought those to life. On the surface, you might think it’s no big deal because the user interface is so easy to navigate and the design is cohesive… but the reality is that under the hood of this seemingly-simple site there exist structural complexities and utility beyond compare. This is a web site built around the concept that CLiC staff should be easy to reach and interact with AND should be reflective of our mission + core values. Ramblin Jackson surpassed our expectations. If you’re looking at revitalizing YOUR web presence, go talk with them, now!

Wi-Fi Woes?

Maybe your wifi is unreliable, or on the slow side. Or maybe you’re tired of “gathering” wifi usage statistics in your library by roving around with a clipboard, counting people on their devices.

Our solution is simple, affordable and elegant.

“Our wifi network is awesome – this is obviously a very slow time of the year in La Veta, but there are still cars parked outside every evening when we leave the library.  Right now, with the bakery & the coffee shop closed for owner vacations, people without wifi have literally no other place to get online…

“Anyway – we love our new access points – our patrons are spoiled & don’t even know it, but we do!  Thank you again for this great solution!” – La Veta Public Library
